Since 1967, Bear Valley Mountain has been the choice for snow sports enthusiasts of all ages. From the beginner runs that are easily visible from the lodge, to the black and double black diamonds of the Grizz, as well as the intermediate-friendly backside area and mile-long trails back to Bear Valley Village, Bear Valley Mountain has terrain to suit any level. Beginners to Advanced, Bear Valley is the ideal mountain whether it’s your first experience on the snow or you’re a die hard powder hound.

Beginners to Advanced
For beginners Bear Valley offers all-inclusive packages to encourage snow sports participation. Our Beginner Package includes a lift ticket , a 1 hour and 45 minute group lesson and all-day equipment rental. For intermediate skiers and riders, enjoy acres of trails on the front and backside of the mountain. Advanced snow sports enthusiasts will always find a secret stash to enjoy in the infamous Grizzly Bowl. Or contact our backcountry expert partners at Mountain Adventure Seminars and join a snowcat tour that can take you out to the untracked powder.

Terrain Parks
Bear Valley Mountain’s Terrain Parks are built for all ages. Our park crew is continually working hard to bring fresh combinations of boxes, rails, jumps and original features that can only be found at Bear Valley. Our Kodiak Park which is our intermediate terrain park is located on the backside. Not ready for Kodiak Park? Then check out the Progression Park in Cub Meadow where you can hone in your skills. Whether on two boards or one; first timer or advanced rider; Bear Valley’s Terrain Parks are a great place for everyone to play.

Bear Valley is conveniently located on scenic all-weather Highway 4, regionally located between Lake Tahoe and Yosemite. Access is easy from all areas of Northern California.

The mountain is located just up the road from Bear Valley Village on Hwy 207; Continue 2 miles east past the village to reach the mountain.
From the Bay Area
Take 580 east to 205 east to 120 east to 99 north to 4 east and continue to Bear Valley.
From the Central Valley
Take 99 north to 4 east and continue to Bear Valley.
From Sacramento
Take 99 south to 12 east to 49 south to 4 east and continue to Bear Valley.
From Lake Tahoe / Reno
Winter – (Ebbetts Pass closes): Take 80 west, 50 west, or 88 west from the greater Lake Tahoe basin, to 99 south to 4 east and continue to Bear Valley.

      Holiday dates defined as: December 26 – Jan 4th, January 17 – 19th, February 14 – 16th 2015

      Apart from the Platinum Pass, Snowbomb doesn’t have any offers for specific weekends.

        You mentioned that holiday days in February are only 14-16th. I had made plans with my friends to go on the 20th, but now the website information changed and 20th is also considered holiday. What are the correct dates?
